Yasmina Abou Jaoude’s ideas explore our Knowledge Horizons – the limits of what we comprehend and visualize. Her work tests boundaries of form and material, using natural processes and fundamental science as conceptual starting point.
She is currently developing folded sculptures. This research is grounded in the possibilities of creating movement and fractal qualities out of a singular surface, through a process of folds.

Born in Beirut and based in London, Yasmina graduated from the Architectural Association where she established the foundations of her experimental pursuits.

Yasmina's past projects include working with artist Shirazeh Houshiary of the New British Sculpture Movement, developing sculptures. She has also served as a consultant for Zaha Hadid and as a researcher for the Steering Committee of the Aga Khan Architecture Award. She is a member of the Buckminster Fuller Institute and an ongoing advisor for The River Reactor Project, a large-scale public art initiative.
