CONREEN originated from micro black holes. Sometimes referred to as Paracarbon, micro black holes are a parallel form of carbon. They appear in the extreme environment of particle accelerators and evaporate instantly, emitting Hawking radiation. A carbon atom bombarded with this type of radiation experiences a transmutation of its quark flavors–the fundamental building blocks of matter–: from up and down, to charm and strange.

We don’t yet fully understand how it was formed, its order and nature, even the role it plays in the universe. Our ambition to grasp Conreen must therefore begin, first, with what surrounds it. Conreen has been placed on high voltage sources to portray its energy. We’ve detected muon particles in Conreen. These particles usually live for two micro-seconds before decaying into electrons and neutrinos, but exist for much longer in Conreen.

While much of what defines or characterizes it is still unknown, Conreen is undeniably part of the language of the sky. It contains waves and particles that simultaneously sit on different levels of our atmosphere. Still, the non-intuitive behaviors of Conreen elude us. Our inherent understanding of nature is insufficient .

In Plato’s allegory of the Cave, the cave-man lives in darkness until introduced to sunlight, to which his eyes must slowly adjust. In this cave, light is a metaphor for ultimate knowledge. We now seek the opposite. Ultimate knowledge resides in the darkness of the unknown, and our eyes must adjust to this darkness. Conreen is a product of an experiment in this darkness.

Conreen is a leap beyond the horizon of knowledge, where it operates at the edge of what we can understand.
