Designed for vertical as well as horizontal installation, Lyman Gamma is the artist’s first expressly versatile piece.

The piece is a new chapter towards the exploration of changing perceptions. Appearing to ‘fall in suspension’ the piece is a play on form and gravity, challenging our understanding of direction and weight. The folds organically invite an active engagement, moving us to and from multiple vantage points.

The Lyman Series
‘The Lyman series’ is inspired by the Lyman set of ultraviolet wavelengths emitted by hydrogen when electrons fall into the atom›s first energy level. The collection draws from the poetic suggestion of that fall: a transition from higher states to a foundational one. It is an ode not only to the atomic process but to the idea of infinite potential states resolving into a singular one.

The Lyman series represents the artist’s greater belief that contemporary art need not to have to choose between craftsmanship, beauty or conceptual depth. To the artist, ‘idea’ must be found and placed in form and material. All her work seeks to be precise in construction, rich in concept, and deep in sensation.
